SOUTH Lincs Competitive Swimming Club placed fourth at the second round of the Junior Lincs League at Yarborough.
Although the Spalding club’s squad was depleted, there were still a number of stand-out performances.
Overall South Lincs managed ten wins, eights seconds places and eight thirds, with their swimmers clocking 14 personal best (PB) times.
The boys’ age 12 and under relay team were on superb form, as they took first in both the 100m medley relay and 100m free relay. Matthew Gray, Jack Booth, Ryan Horrocks and William Swain continue to impress.
Emily McCann produced yet another PB as she placed first in the girls’ 50m breaststroke, 50m fly and 50m freestyle
Also starring was Lucy Houghton, who stormed to first place in the girls’ 25m breaststroke with a fantastic PB time.
After his relay success, Swain then sailed into first place in both the boys’ 12 and under 50m backstroke and 50m freestyle.
His relay team-mate Horrocks enjoyed individual success too, as he clinched first place in both the boys’ 12 and under breaststroke and 50m fly.
Also competing were Sebastien Claydon, Lucy Houghton, Isobel Fovargue, Amelia Fovargue, Libby Houghton, Drew Dixon, Oliver Booth, Atticus Strickland, Georgia Roberts, Lucy Baker, Harry Parnell, Serena Leadbeater, Jodie Rawlings, Luke Blanchard, Alex Baker and Alice Gowing.
Poolside coaches for the meet were Trevor Horrocks, Mandy Houghton and Sue Gowing.
