SOPHIE Taylor claimed an incredible nine-medal haul at the Midlands regional swimming championships in Alfreton – including three individual golds.
The 15-year-old disability swimmer, who is a member of Spalding-based South Lincs Competitive Swimming Club, had a busy weekend at the Derbyshire event as she finished first overall in the 14-15 age group.
Not only did she compete in her five scheduled races, but she also participated in four relays for the Lincolnshire team.
Taylor managed to personal best in her 50m freestyle race, in addition to her hat-trick of golds and two silver medals for her individual efforts.
She also bagged three silvers and a bronze medal in the relays.
The teen ace is now hoping to build on her success at the senior National Disability Championships.
