SENSATIONAL Chloe Hannam raced to a stunning 23 event wins at South Lincs Competitive Swimming Club’s annual club championships – shattering 11 club records in the process.
The 14-year old was among a clutch of star performers at the Spalding-based club’s end of year bash, that was contested over several weekends.
In galas three to six there were some fantastic swims, with many historic club records being broken.
One of the records decimated by Hannam dated back to 2001, while Harry Bumfrey (12) stormed to 15 victories and Emily Blackbourn (13) took 13 race wins.
Other club records were beaten by Cheryl Wilson, who broke three, and Georgia Roberts (8/9 age group) in the 100m freestyle event with a time of 1.41.25mins.
Out of the four galas a massive 407 personal best times were achieved, with 245 county times secured.
Also on fire was Calvin Wilson (11) with twelve wins, while Reggie Reeves (14) bagged eleven first places and seven second places and George Wensor (14) managed ten victories and nine seconds.
In the 1500m championships, first places went to Eleanor Templer and Calvin Wilson in the 10/11 age group, as well as Emily Blackbourn and James Hook in the 12/13 age group.
In the 14/15 age group the winners were Philippa West and Henry Warren, who also both won the open category.
Emily McCann took the honours in the age 8/9 800m championship, with Eleanor Templer and Calvin Wilson winners in the 10/11 age group.
Emily Blackbourn and Harry Bumfrey bossed the 12/13 age group and Philippa West and Henry Warren won the 14/15 age group. Warren also picked up a triumph in the open category, alongside Cheryl Wilson.
