ASHLEY Rudd led the charge for Team TRM at their latest supermoto outing in Wigan over the weekend.

The Holbeach ace roared to three second places at the Norasport British Supermoto Championship meet on the Three Sisters circuit, making him the overall runner-up in the junior category.

It was a largely uneventful outing for the youngster, who was a comfortable second all the way through Saturday’s schedule.

In the 250cc category, brother Ryan Rudd was a creditable fourth overall. He picked up a third place and two fourths, having been edged out by former team-mate Ben Stafford and two talented French riders.

Lee Rudd returned to the track a day later in an encouraging outing despite suffering with an injured thumb.

He managed two finishes of ninth and a solid 12th in the competitive Elite section, which is an improvement on his last result.

Team TRM now face the rare prospect of a weekend off, before returning to motocross action at Sculthorpe on August 13.

Ryan, Ashley, Lee and Kieran Rudd are all expected to compete, with Mark Rudd a doubt.
