HISTORY was made as Pinchbeck’s Daniel Booth picked up two huge stock car trophies at the weekend.

ooth became the first driver in almost a decade to do the double and win the Gold Roof and Silver Roof in the same season in the 1300s.

He received his trophies at the annual Trackstar Awards Night, which took place at King’s Lynn Football Club to mark his amazing form over the past year.

The Gold Roof Race is the biggest race of the year and was won by Booth back in August. He put his rivals to the sword with a devastating drive.

Meanwhile, the Silver Roof goes to the winner of the season long ‘National Points’ competition.

It takes determination and being able to consistently deliver good drives and performances to take the number one spot.

Booth managed a comfortable victory in the points – beating his nearest rival Todd Shales by over 30 points and was also the only Lincolnshire driver in the top 15.

Also receiving an award was 2L stock car driver Simon Venni (Long Sutton), who got the Merit Award for producing some outstanding displays during the 2010 season.

The start of the new campaign is now just over a week away, with the F2, 2L and 1300 stock cars all in action at the Norfolk Arena on Saturday, March 5.
