Saracens Head racer Ben Stafford heads to Thruxton this weekend looking to continue his learning curve.
Stafford performed solidly in the last round, despite a disappointing qualifying session, and he is looking to build on that this weekend.
That race was just his second ride in the BSB 600 stock race and his first time on the full GP circuit at Brands Hatch.
The opening qualifying session went well as Stafford placed 27th out of 50 riders but overnight storms left track conditions changeable for the second session.
With some corners looking dry but remaining slippery, Stafford struggled and slipped back to a disappointing 34th on the grid.
Changes made to the bike for the second qualifying session had made things worse but they were restored for the main race where he produced a better performance.
Stafford, supported by Silicone Engineering, moved through the field to finish a respectable 25th, knocking five seconds off his best time.
