Tulips A have been knocked off the top spot of Spalding and District League’s division one despite maintaing their 100 per cent record.

The former leaders edged past previously unbeaten Donington A 4-2, with four of the five frames decided on the black ball.

For Tulips there were breaks of 55 from Bren Bowman (O63), 25 from Chris Scoulding (O7), 22 from Nick Savic (O35) and 20 from Simon Law (scr).

Taking over the lead are Holbeach C, who enjoyed a 5-1 win over Donington C, who are yet to taste victory.

Neil Reynolds (O49) did enjoy a 22 break in the third frame, but went down on the black ball to Mark Gregory (O14).

Near the bottom there was a thriller between Pyramid A and Sutton B, Eric Wyer’s (O7) black ball victory over Phil Goodman (O35) sealing his team a fifth frame victory. Steven Godfrey (O21) recorded a 51 break for Sutton B.

Spencer Dawkins (O49)hit a 47 break and Alfonso Palumbo (O42) a 27 clearance as Pyramid B brushed aside Consti B 6-0.

Consti F stay top of division two and maintained their 100 per cent record with Warren Peel’s (scr) final frame walkover against Consti I’s Richard Geddes (R14).

Consti I’s David Twelves (R14) enjoyed a 23 break in his second frame victory over Chris English (R14).

Elsewhere in the divisionBourne Snooker Centre A recorded their first win of the campaign, 5-1 over Consti G, who are still winless.

Mark Gray (O98) recorded a 51 break for Bourne in what turned out to be their only lost frame of the night, against Andy Grimwood (O14).

Craig Fitter (O56) hit 22 and 24 as Services B battled from two frames down to beat Whittlesey B. Fitter won the deciding frame against Graham Slaughter (R7).

Matt Allen (O42) was on form for Pyramid D as they climbed up the table with a 5-1 victory over Crowland A.

Allen hit breaks of 30 and 28 as he edged past Paul Cook (scr) in the fourth frame.

Consti J stay top of division three with a fourth consecutive win, 4-2 over Pyramid E.

Bourne Snooker Centre B are hot on their heels, though, after getting past bottom-of-the-table Consti D 5-1 in a match that included black ball wins for Elliot Gaunt (O7) and Duane Atkinson (O7).

Holbeach B made it three wins out of three with a 6-0 trouncing of Donington D, Paul Boucher (O28) hitting breaks of 24 and 21 in his black ball win over Colin Andrew (R21).
