Jason Day and Spencer Hawkins were in fine form as Division One leaders Pyramid B saw off Holbeach in the Spalding and District Snooker League.

Green produced breaks of 34 and 21 during the 5-1 victory that saw Pyramid extend their lead to 14 points.

The gap at the top grew thanks to Crowland C whitewashing second-placed Donington, for whom Jamie Hunns (24) and Tony Scully (21) produced telling breaks.

Although the scoreline suggests a one-sided match, three of the games went down to the black ball so the story could have been so different.

Tulips B lie third after accounting for Boundary B 4-2, a match which saw Martin Deacon’s victory over Steve Oakes decided on the black ball.

Pool ace Mark Gray produced breaks of 32 and 24 but still went down to Jeff Cousins in Bourne Snooker Club’s 4-2 defeat by Services B.

The defeat dashed Bourne’s hopes of closing the gap on Division Two leaders Consti F. Tim Nash poduced a break of 25 for Services B while Paul Doades’ game went down to the wire.

Division Three leaders Holbeach whitewashed bottom of the table Pyramid E with Phil Coaten and Neil Harvey hitting breaks of 24. David Moisey went closest to winning for the struggling Pyramid side.
