Long Sutton ladies first team scored seven times in the first reverse fixture of the season against Bourne-Deeping.
They could have reached double figures had it not been for the efforts of goalkeeper Angela Cox who pulled off several fine stops to keep the tally down.
Sutton opened their campaign with a 5-2 away win and again they controlled this game from start to finish.
The first goal came on nine minutes after a strong run by Robyn Gribble which resulted in her getting the ball to Leanne Woodhead who with much still to do found the space to finish with a good reverse stick shot that rattled against the back board.
Sutton stretched their lead just two minutes later. Jess Hudson attacked down the left from deep then fed the ball to Woodhead who found Lisa Baker at the top of the D and she fired an unstoppable shot.
Baker hammered home the third goal from close range and just before half-time Sutton were awarded a penalty flick which Tania White calmly placed beyond Cox.
Gribble doubled her score and Baker completed a hat-trick with second-half goals as Sutton stay third in the league and in touch with the leaders.
The second team lost 3-0 at Louth 2nd but Alex Canham scored all the goals as the men’s second team won by the same scoreline against St Neots.
