Seniors from all over enjoy golf celebration

Tydd St Giles Golf Club held its Seniors Celebration Golf Day, an open event pairs stableford played off three-quarters handicap.

Organiser Brian Shales (inserted picture) said this year was the tenth anniversary with additional prizes to help celebrate the day.

Some 120 players from around the eastern region took part, including Wensum Valley (Norwich), RAF Marham, Newmarket, Wellingborough, Stamford, Spalding, March, Swaffham, Sleaford, Feltwell, Ely, King’s Lynn and Toft (Bourne).

Brian thanked everyone for their generosity in helping raise £382 for the Crohn’s Charity Appeal, and the Seniors and Ladies captains in providing a special halfway house drinks and refreshments, which raised £150 for the Macmillan Nurses.
