With three wins so far, Andy Prior looks set to take Welland Yacht Club’s Sunday points series.

Other than not making this weekend’s final two races he would now appear to be unstoppable.

Race three got under way with a rare downwind start as Lucy Burton led Prior when they rounded the first mark and the remainder of the fleet were all bunched up behind.

As Prior started to pull ahead, Phil Robinson got in front of Tom Bell.

The remainder of the fleet switched places as a few found the odd bit of breeze.

Prior finished first ahead of Robinson, Burton and Bell.

Race four was made a little longer with Bell making the most of the start and Prior closely behind, both pulling away from the pack.

Bell took the victory from Prior with Robinson third and Paul Wilson fourth.

Junior Katie Follington took part in her first races solo in a topper, finishing eighth and sixth, with her younger brother Jack crewing for mum Gail.

Junior sessions resume on Sunday, August 28, from 9.30-11am.
