SPALDING Gymnastic Club’s Level Four squad have been crowned county champions after delivering a stellar showing.

The club’s girls were competing in the Lincolnshire Level Five, Four, Three, Two, One championship.

It was the Level Four ‘A’ team of Rosanna Fresen, Laura Van-Lier, Lois Lachasseigne, Hannah Lawrence and Serena Leadbeter who enjoyed the greatest success, as they landed the gold medal.

In the same category, Spalding’s B squad were a creditable fifth.

Spalding were incredibly well represented in the Level Five section, with three teams of five taking 15 from across the county.

However, they just missed out on a medal, finishing fourth, fifth and seventh respectively.

More medals did come at Level Three standard, though. Competing against incredibly strong opposition, they brought home the bronze medal after placing third.

In total Spalding had 30 girls competing – and they were all a credit to themselves.

Praise must also go to the club’s coaches, for helping deliver some incredible routines.
