Five Spalding-based speed merchants are expected to star on a spectacular night of stock car racing this weekend.
Jamie Clayton, Robert Heanes, Tom Yould, Dan Booth and Andi Newamn are all competing in the two-litre Saloon Stock Cars meeting at Norfolk Arena, King’s Lynn on Saturday night (6pm).
Clayton and Booth both secured strong top-four results on their last visit to the track and will be looking for more of the same at the weekend.
In stark contrast, Yould was involved in the most spectacular action of that meeting when his synchronized barrel roll with Norfolk driver Michael Allard saw his car end up on its roof
Thankfully, both drivers were able to walk away unharmed and they will be hoping for an eventful night but with a very different outcome on Saturday.
Completing the programme will be three Banger Racing classes, with another Spalding driver Simon Chapman due to be in the line-up for the 1,500cc class.
Meanwhile, veteran Sutton St James racer Carl Issitt continued his impressive return to BriSCA Formula Two Stock Cars by finishing third in the meeting final at Norfolk Arena on Saturday.
The result leaves Issitt well-placed in the points table for this season’s World of Shale qualifying competition.
