Senior and lady members of at Tydd St Giles Golf and Country Club competed in a charity tournament in memory of one of their own.
The Alf Bishop charity event in aid of East Anglian Air Ambulance attracted just over 60 golfers last Tuesday when the life of the former Wisbech Town FC chairman was commemorated.
A trophy bearing the name of Alf, who passed away just over a year ago, was donated by Geoff Sturdy, with the prizes presented by Marilyn Bishop and her son Paul.
Val Sambridge (nett 75) won the ladies competition and Beryl Clay (nett 76) was second, while John Ormiston (nett 66) was the winner of the seniors’ tournament in which Dennis Savory (nett 68) came second.
A sum of £570 was raised for East Anglian Air Ambulance.
