Former Spalding High School student Christina Faulkner and her 12-year-old bay mare Gypsy Rose were placed fourth out of 106 qualified riders at the Dodson and Horrell National Amateur Show Jumping Championships at Aintree.

Having had to qualify at two previous competitions during the year, they jumped an accurate clear round in the first part of the Grand Prix Final followed by a very quick jump off that caused lots of faults.

Christina (19) and Gypsy had an extremely successful show being placed in four out of the six classes entered.

The riders were also treated to a behind-the-scenes Grand National tour.
