MOTORSPORT: Wilson will need Dutch courage at new track

BEN Wilson makes the long journey over to Assen in Holland this weekend for round ten of the British Supersport Championship.

This is the first time the championship has visited the Dutch circuit and it will be a challenge for the majority of riders including Wilson, who currently sits fifth in the rider standings.

There are two free practice sessions tomorrow, which will enable Wilson to get to grips with the circuit layout prior to the solitary qualifying session on Saturday morning.

The 12-lap short sprint race is scheduled to be on track at 4.25pm on Saturday – and as well as accruing championship points, the fastest lap set will establish the grid for Sunday’s feature race.

That will run over 15 laps and is due on track at 2.30pm.
