Holbeach speed demons Ryan, Ashley and Kieran Rudd made a welcome return to the track over the weekend with a solid set of results.
Having enjoyed a rare sequence of race-free weekends, the TRM trio were in action with the Peterborough Motocross Club at Chatteris.
The youngest of the Rudd brothers, Kieran, chalked up the best results on the track.
Competing in the exciting Autos category, the young gun roared to impressive wins in each of his first two outings.
The final race was a real thriller, with Kieran edged into second place – a position he finished in overall.
It was tougher going for the ever-competitive Ryan and Ashley in the Schoolboy section.
A big first-corner crash swallowed up Ryan’s hopes in the opener, as he slipped to the back of the pack of the 25-strong field.
But the 17-year-old steamed through the pack and managed to salvage an impressive tenth place by the chequered flag.
Having stayed out of trouble in the second race he improved to grab sixth spot, before going two better in the finale to seal a fantastic fourth.
That made Ryan an impressive fourth overall.
Ashley rode very well in the same section, on a track he’s not that enamoured with. The 14-year-old steadily improved throughout the day, having finished 14th, 12th and tenth.
That made him a satisfactory tenth overall.
The Rudd boys are back in action at Great Hockham this weekend.
But Lee Rudd faces a spell on the sidelines after suffering a nasty ankle injury. He expects to miss the next round of National Supermoto Championships, which he currently leads.
