Lee Rudd suffered a horrific crash at Teeside over the weekend... but still emerged as the overall winner at the supermoto meet.

The Holbeach-based Team TRM ace saw his bike give up on him when riding flat-out on a straight – and was sent crashing leg-first through a tyre wall.

He required hospital treatment for his injuries and is currently on crutches, with doctors unsure if he’s broken any bones.

But that didn’t stop him being the top rider of the day. He won the opener, then placed second in his next outing.

Rudd was running first when his crash occurred in the finale, which caused the race to be red-flagged. However, as his crash was a technical fault he was still declared the winner, making him first overall.

Meanwhile, TRM trio Kieran, Ashley and Ryan Rudd were in Norfolk and Suffolk Motocross Club action at Great Hockham.

An impressive Kieran was third overall in the Autos section after placing third (twice) and second.

Ryan managed third in the Schoolboy section after he managed a seventh place and two fourths.

Ashley was just behind in fourth after placing fourth, fifth and seventh.
