Pinchbeck’s Dan Booth finished a super second at the 1300 Stock Car European Championship at King’s Lynn’s Norfolk Arena.
Starting 12th on the grid, Booth motored into the top three within the first few laps and was soon was shadowing leader Dean Moat.
With Booth expected to make a late move on the leader, he was thwarted when Moat was able to deftly spin Ady Moden into his path – allowing him to open up a 20-metre winning margin.
Booth also placed in seventh and fifth place in the all comers races from the back of the grid to round of a fine night of action.
Simon Goodale (Moulton) had another good night in the Bangers, managing three top ten finishes . A third place in the all comers was his best.
• South Holland teenager Tommy Aylward has won the Ministox East Anglian Championship.
He is following in the footsteps of his dad, who was also victorious in the Great Yarmouth Stadium event 20 years ago.
