Ben Wilson is bidding to get back on winning form at this weekend’s British Supersport Championship showpiece at Cadwell Park.

The Kirton racer had the disappointment of a non-finish in the feature race at Oulton Park last time out and is now some 90 points behind Gearlink Kawasaki team-mate and series leader Alistair Seeley.

Two free practice sessions on Saturday are followed by qualifying at 11.10am on Sunday, which will set the grid for the 12-lap sprint race (3.55pm) that afternoon. The 16-lap feature race starts at 3.30pm on Bank Holiday Monday.

Wilson said: “It’s not over yet, two years ago I was leading the championship by over 50 points and everyone said I was certain to win.

“But look what happened, a couple of non-finishes narrowed the gap and I ended up missing my target by just one point.

“There are five more rounds, ten races and 250 points still available, so there is still everything to fight for.”
