It was a disappointing weekend at Knockhill for G&S Racing Kawasaki as Tom Fisher proved to be unfit to race and Kevin Van Leuven crashed in difficult conditions in the Superstock 1000 race at the Scottish circuit on Sunday.
It was always going to be difficult for Fisher to get fit enough to race last weekend and that proved to be the case as he was unable to start free practice.
Van Leuven was enjoying his visit to Knockhill and riding well.
He completed his qualifying in a personal best position of 17th and was anticipating a strong points finish but the weather took a turn for the worse as the riders came under orders.
Van Leuven completed his first lap in 16th place but was unfortunate to crash at turn three on lap two.
Team manager Mark Fisher said: “Although it is disappointing that we never finished the race we have to look at the positives. Kevin is really getting to grips with the big bike and was going extremely well in free practice and qualifying.”
