MOTORCYCLING: Riders ready for Brands Hatch challenge

Aaron Clarke and Tommy Philp travel to Kent for the seventh round of the British Supersport and the eighth round of the Superstock 600 championships at Brands Hatch.

The two draperRACING riders are looking forward to the challenge where last time at the circuit both of them were taken out of their race after a collision with another rider.

Kirton-based Clarke is first out on track for free practice in the Superstock 600 class at 9am on Friday.

The first qualifying session will be held later in the day at 1.25pm.

Final qualifying takes place on Saturday at 11.45am and there is a short warm-up on Sunday at 9.15am. The 
14-lap race is at 12.35pm.

Philp has two free practice sessions in the British Supersport Championship at 9.35am and 2pm on Friday, followed by qualifying at 9.40am on Saturday.

The 12-lap Sprint race is scheduled for 1.30pm on Saturday.

There is another Sprint race later in the day at 4.25pm, rescheduled from Silverstone, which had to be postponed 
because of bad weather.

The 18-lap feature race takes place on Sunday at 3.40pm.

Meanwhile, the G&S Racing Kawasaki team head to Brands Hatch for the eighth round of the Superstock 1000 championship on Sunday.

Tom Fisher and Kevin Van Leuven are on track for free practice on Friday at 11.50am followed by the first of two qualifying sessions at 4.15pm.

The final session is on Saturday at 12.20pm and this will set the grid for the start of Sunday’s 15-lap race.

There is a short warm-up on Sunday at 9.55am for the start of the race at 2.15pm.
