Holbeach-based Team TRM trio Ryan, Ashley and Kieran Rudd enjoyed a busy weekend of motocross action at Great Hockham.
Young gun Kieran was bang on the money in Sunday’s racing in the Autos section, finishing an impressive third overall.
He started with a third place in his opener, before placing fourth in his next outing and finishing with another fabulous third position.
As ever, battling brothers Ryan and Ashley were going blow for blow in the Schoolboy category.
This time it was Ashley, the younger of the duo, who edged the best position. He roared to finishes of seventh, fifth and sixth to be sixth overall.
That was marginally better than Ryan, who was sixth, tenth and fourth in his three outings – which represented a final position of seventh.
Monday’s action was eventful to say the least. Kieran was a fine fifth overall, after placing fifth, fourth and fifth again. He really had to work for his fifth place in the finale, having crashed at the first corner to slip to the back of the field.
Meanwhile, Ashley and Ryan saw the first of their three races red flagged three times after a number of nasty crashes. The third of the incidents led to a lengthy delay and caused the race to be abandoned.
When the duo eventually got back on track, Ashley was eighth overall after two ninth places, while Ryan was back in 13th after managing finishes of 13th and 14th.
Before the young trio began their racing, Mark and Lee Rudd were in action in the ‘dad’s race’. Mark emerged as the winner, with Lee fourth.
