Spalding’s Sir John Gleed School students were rewarded for their efforts at the Lincolnshire Floor and Vault competition.

Following the event at Grantham Meres Leisure Centre, Christine Ringrose – who coaches the gymnasts – said: “This was another excellent day for Sir John Gleed gymnasts whose effort and dedication was rewarded at this competition.

“I would also like to thank parents and carers for their continued support.”

Results

Under-13 mixed team (second place): Kieron Courtman, Mia Hallam, Georgia Dunk Neale, Courtney Walker. Individual medal: Neale (third).

Under-16 girls (third place): Anete Murniece, Britney Mair, Jess Mitchell, Izzy Szymak, Tish Bycraft. Individual medals: Szymak (first, gaining the second highest floor score of the day), Bycraft (second), Murniece (third).

Under-19 mixed team (first – county champions): Modestas Kandalovas, Kinzi Stokes, Samantha Stevens, Ellie Tennant. Individual medals: Kandalovas (second), Stokes (first), Stevens (second), Tennant (third).
