The Spalding and District League summer sessions continued through June but the numbers have been disappointingly down.

Over the four Wednesdays a total of only 19 from the First Division and 16 from Division Two have attended while there have been 27 visitors.

Averaging about 14 per week this is well below the necessary break-even point.

On the plus side it does mean that the league can easily accommodate any visitors who will be most welcome.

Highlight of the month was the Spalding Invitational event which can hopefully be repeated next year.

Coming next Thursday is a new event ‘National Table Tennis Day’ set up by Table Tennis England. The league will be happy to provide support for any group wishing to take part.

The league will be holding the usual open session on Wednesday.
