Spalding Ladies B team lost 3½-½ in a league match at Greetham Valley.
Anita Cross and Paula Brown lost 3 and 5, Barbara Newcombe and Anne Ellis lost 3 and 4, Sue Watson and Jean White lost 2 and 3, and Sue Dewar and Debra Ward halved.
The annual ladies four-way match at Spalding saw the home team coming out on top by quite a margin.
The winning team consisted of Jenny Wilson with 26 points, Chris Vickers 34, Angela Roper 35, Lesley Williams 32, Ruth Atkins 28, Brown 28, Hannah Thorold 32 and Rowena Hughes 30.
That gave Spalding a total of 245 stableford points with Belton Wood second on 197, Melton Mowbray third on 191 and Greetham Valley fourth with 189.
Dianne Platt came out on top as 20 Spalding members, who also fit the ‘grandmother’ category, entered for the Grannies Cup.
This stableford competition saw Platt win with a magnificent 40 points which reduced her handicap by one point and under the ‘exceptional scoring reduction’ rule, by one more.
Her handicap was therefore cut from 10 to 8.
Second was Chris Vickers with 36 points with Lynda Double third with 35.
