Spalding Ladies B travelled to Kirton Holme for a league match. Anita Cross and Dina Reedman halved their match as did Sue Watson and Jean White. Avril Norton and Janet Davies lost 1down, while Mags McArdle and Jean Harvey won 2&1. The match was therefore halved.

This result puts the team at the top of their division for the season. Well done all those ladies who played for the team this year.

nSpalding Ladies B played a home match against Kirton Holme and won 3&1. Ruth Atkins and Anita Cross lost 2down, Dina Reedman and Avril Norton won 4&3, Barbara Newcombe and Anne Ellis won 6&4 and Janet Davies and Jean White won 6&5.

nThe ladies A team played Lincoln at home and the match was halved. Elaine Hancock and Di Platt lost 1down, Lesley Williams and Angela Roper won 2&1, Angie Maltby and Ruth Atkins won 1up and Paula Brown and Dina Reedman lost 7&5.

A return match was played at Lincoln, which the home side won comprehensively. Pat West and Di Platt lost 5&3, Elizabeth Holbrook and Lesley Williams lost 4&3, Angela Roper and Angie Maltby halved and Ruth Atkins and Anita Cross lost 3&2.

nA Sunday medal competition was held, attracting ten entries. The winner was Elaine Hancock with 75, 2nd Lynda Double, 76 and 3rd Maureen Orwell, 77.

nA team of lady members travelled to Peterborough Milton for a friendly match.

Angela Roper and Jenny Wilson won 1up, Millie Thorold and Olive Gooderson won 3&1, Phil Borst and Mary Ellis lost 4&3, Jean White and Judy Rawlings lost 3&2, Mags McArdle and Chris Leggett won 5&4, and Bev Harpham and Eileen Bridge lost 2&1. The match was therefore halved.

nThirty seven ladies entered for the 18-hole Greta David stableford competition. The winner was Pat West with 37 points, 2nd Hannah Thorold with 34 and 3rd Ruth Atkins with 34.
