More than 100 golfers from around the region took part in Tydd St Giles’ Seniors Open Stableford pairs competition.

The match was played in excellent weather conditions and some very good scores were achieved.

The overall winners John Manders from Ely and Ted Gathercole (Rotherham) came in with 47 points.

Senior co-ordinator Brian Shales thanked all for attending and their generosity as the halfway house raised £107 for the British Heart Foundation and from the raffle £300 for Chrohn’s Disease charity. The day was concluded with a presentation of the prizes and a carvery meal.
