Spalding Gymnastic Academy’s annual team competition proved a big success.

Aptly named Tulips, this competition has been very popular with clubs from Peterborough, Colchester, Bletchley and Holbeach taking part.

In the morning session, Level 5 and 3 teams competed and results were shared out with Spalding finishing second and third in the Senior Level 5. Individual medals were won by Caitlin Keyzers (silver on beam), Georgina Harrison and Daisy Cottage (silver on vault).

At Level 3, Spalding finished third in the team and individual medals went to Rebecca Fones (gold on beam and bronze on vault, second overall).

Level 4 was next and the competition was a lot more challenging with some very good gymnasts coming from all the clubs taking part. Thandine Snell did very well to win gold on bars and Amelia Fox finished fourth on vault.

In Level 2, the more advanced gymnastics were on show. Spalding finished third and fourth in the teams with individual medals going to Ruby Vertuccio (bronze on floor), Hannah Lawrence (gold on floor and vault, third overall).
