Spalding Gymnastic Academy’s under-8 boys led the way as the host club shone at the county floor and vault championships.

Held at the club’s academy at Cradge Bank, Spalding collected a host of medals at the annual event.

Spalding gymnasts took all of the spoils in the under-8 section, with Taylor Binns and Ethan Howling both taking gold after recording equal scores.

Team-mates Samuel Allcock and Lucas Webb completed an all-Spalding podium by winning silver and bronze respectively.

At under-9 level, Theo Briston carried on Spalding’s success by winning the gold medal.

Ollie Ruston performed very well in a difficult under-10 age group, but just missed out on a medal.

Another Spalding medal came in the under-12yrs age group , as Jamie Waterson came good and took the bronze.

Riley Bristow bravely competed in the same category, but an ankle injury hampered his medal prospects.

Ryan Mackimm did very well in the under-14 section and bagged himself a bronze medal.

That was matched by Luke Waterson in the over-14 category, with his bronze medal completing Spalding’s haul.
