GYMNASTICS: Spalding girls’ proud show

SPALDING Gymnastic Club did themselves proud as they hosted a county junior and senior competition.

Although not being in the medals, the girls did themselves credit as they was competing at a higher level and were up against more experienced gymnasts.

In the junior section, Spalding’s top score went to Serena Leadbeater with 44.05, which gave her fourth place.

Also scoring well were Lois Lachassienge in eighth (42.15) and Hannah Lawrence in tenth (41.85).

Amy Loveridge (41.45), Lucinda Thompson (41.30) and Laura Vanlier (40.40) managed were in the top 20 too.

At senior level, Emma Coddington took sixth with 40.25, while Clara Willis was eighth (39.75) and Francesca Harper claimed ninth (39.35).

After top showings, Leadbeater and Coddington both qualify to represent Lincolnshire in the inter-county regional competition later this year.
