Spalding Gymnastic Club capped off a fine year of competitive action with another top performance at a county ‘level six’ competition.

Amelia Fox was the Cradge Bank club’s golden girl with a fantastic first place in the age ten years category – and there was a host of other medals won across the board.

In the age seven years group, young talent Maisie Foden shone to seal the silver medal. One year up in the eight years section it was bronze for Lily Thompson, while team-mate Emmi Bell was a fine fifth.

Another medal went to Spalding in the nine years category as Libby Hughes powered to a superb second place and the silver prize.

Spalding also fared well in the age 11 and over group, with Victoria Davies winning bronze and Charlotte Ward, Miyah Woods and Grace Mooney all finishing in the top six.

All of Spalding’s top finishers – plus Samantha Fones, Megan Wyatt, Rebecca Fones, Millie Weller and Lara Austin – also scored the pass mark to move to the next level.

In total, the club had 26 members competing on what was another memorable day for all involved.
