SPALDING Gymnastic Academy enjoyed great success as they played host to the boys’ County Floor and Vault invitational competition.
Teams from Lincoln, Nottingham, and Northampton took part, while Spalding entered three teams of their own – with some very young competitors involved.
On the day all boys performed very well, with the the A team of Lewis Elston, Kieran Steel, Ben Lilley and Jake Lilley (68.55) coming second to Nottingham (70.40).
The brilliant result makes Spalding the best county team in the junior level.
Everyone associated with the club was incredibly proud of the team’s showing, with the dedication and training reaping its rewards.
Team B, which consisted of Zac Chapman, Bradley Ivatt, Joe Busby and Rhiley Briston, scored 64.25, while the C team of Jordan Elston, Jamie Steel, Thomas Wallace and George Nichols managed 61.60.
