Sir John Gleed School girls’ campus are celebrating a host of county medallists after seeing their gymnastics teams shine at the senior school floor and vault championships at Grantham.

The under-19 team led the charge, taking first place in their category to be crowned county champions. Zoe Gilliatt, Rebekka Hull, Ellie-Mae Stokes, Emma Gregory and Megan Robson Green were the golden girls.

At Level One the Gleed girls locked out the podium, with Gilliat first overall, Stokes second and Green third. Gregory was also second at level two.

The under-16 team, consisting of Emma Coddington, Sophie Crowson, Mandana Mir Javadi, Cora Johnson and Robyn Wheeler, managed third place overall.

Again they had individual medallists too, with Coddington taking top spot at level two. Javadi was also second at level one, with Crowson third at level two.

Also in third were the under-13 team of Tyler Harker, Laura Delve, Dulcie Baker, Maddie Redhead and Tegan Wheeler.

Their stirring showing was inspired by Wheeler, who was second individually at level one, and Maddie Redhead, who was third in the same category. At level two, Tyler Harker and Laura Deleve were joint third.

Coach Christine Ringrose said: “We had a fantastic day winning 11 individual medals out of a possible 18 and gaining three team places.

“This was achieved by sheer hard work and dedication by the gymnasts. A big thank you to all parents for your continued support.”
