Andrew Burns and Caitlyn Beattie will be representing the East Midlands tumble squad at National 2 Level after achieving gold medals in their categories.

Also bringing home medals for Holbeach and Fenland Gymnastics Club in tumbling section were Laura Nicholson who gained a silver medal at National 2 followed closely by Emily Cooper who brought home a bronze.

Georgie Royal, competing for the first time at National 1 Level also gained a silver medal in the 13+ group as did teammate Amy Reynolds, tumbling at the same level in the 11-12 age group.

Jessica Cowling just missed out on the medals in the National 2 group finishing in fifth place. Final tumbler of the day Laura Buddle gained a silver medal at Elite level 2.

The gymnasts also competed in the Sports Acrobatics floor competition.

Georgie Royal, Emily Cooper and Megan Gittins finished in the top half of a very large group of gymnasts in the Grade 1 Women’s trio group.

Emily and Megan then went on to compete equally well in the Grade 1 women’s pairs with teammates Georgie Royal and Amy Reynolds also joining them in this very competitive section.

Laura Buddle and Laura Nicholson, a new Grade 2 partnership, performed well to achieve a credible score for their floor routine as did Jessica Cowling, Laura Buddle and Amy Reynolds in the Grade 2 women’s groups.
