Both of the G&S Racing Kawasaki riders completed their races at Thruxton within the top 20.
Kevin Van Leuven was 17th in the National Superstock 600 race and Tom Fisher finished the Stock 1000 event in 18th – both outside a point-scoring position.
Team manager Mark Fisher: “Kevin struggled a bit again this week.
“We changed the set up to try to help him but it was still hard work for him. But on a positive note he was over a second faster than last year at Thruxton and he was holding his own in a very close and fast race.
“Tom went really well again this weekend, although he too was unable to get up into the points.
“In qualifying he was only a second away from the pole setter and the pace was as usual very fast and competitive.
“He was disappointed not to add to his points this weekend but he was not far away. To be fair, grip was not as good as it could have been in either race.
“I have to thank the team who made a huge effort again this weekend to make sure the bikes were on top form, they did an excellent job as usual.”
