Gosberton’s Andi Newman took the 2014 Saloon Stock Car White & Yellow Grade Series Final for lower graded drivers at King’s Lynn’s Norfolk Arena.
Starting from the front row of the grid, he took the lead on lap four when Whaplode St Catherine driver Robert Heanes was spun out by a backmarker.
Pre-race favourite Tom Yould, of Spalding, was spun from contention early on in the White & Yellow Final but went on to dominate most of heat two before being taken out on the final lap.
Moulton’s Jamie Clayton was fourth in heat one and eighth in heat two, coming second in the meeting final and winning the all-comers race.
Spalding racer Simon Goodale took fifth place in the bangers final which ran to a two-litre rear-wheel drive format.
