The countdown has begun for the first Tallington Lakes Triathlon on July 5 and entries are filling fast.
Swimmers, cyclists and runners in their hundreds will be taking to the start line of the new event coming to south Lincolnshire this summer.
Grab your race spot and rally family and friends to cheer you on!
Sprint triathletes will take on a 750m swim, 24km bike, 5km run – the perfect distance for newcomers to the triathlon community.
The more seasoned triathlete or fitness enthusiast looking to take on a longer distance will conquer a 1,500m swim, 46km cycle and 10km run.
The spring fed lake guarantees beautifully clear, warm water for first-timers finding their comfort zone or seasoned triathletes hunting their new personal best race time.
Witness the stunning countryside on a single or double loop bike course depending on your chosen distance, sprint or standard.
The final leg, the run, takes in lakeside views all the way to the finish line.
“We can’t wait to welcome triathletes from across the UK to our very first triathlon at Tallington Lakes. With a few weeks until race day, entries are filling fast so make sure you enter now!” says Jason Randall, Tallington Lakes Triathlon race director.
The event is chip timed and regular water stations are offered throughout the course. A bike mechanic will be on hand at the race village for all competitors, along with a sports therapist for a post-race massage.
There’s plenty for family and friends too with water-skiing, wakeboarding, jet-skiing and canoeing!
You can even treat yourself to a lakeside lodge or one of the 88 camping and caravanning pitches.
Entries close on Tuesday, June 30. Visit www.sbrevents.co.uk and follow on Twitter @SBReventsUK
