The bank holiday weekend comes with a bang at King’s Lynn’s Adrian Flux Arena with two action-packed meetings set to entertain the crowds, featuring racing from a variety of Banger Racing categories, Stock Cars and even three-wheeled Reliant Robins.

Racing kicks off on Saturday at 6pm with 1500cc National Bangers, Two-Litre Saloon Stock Cars and three categories for under-16 year-olds – Ministox, MicroStox and the Junior Bangers English Championship.

On Monday from 1pm, Micro Bangers and Reliant Robins will feature alongside a Banger Racing ‘Battle of the Sexes’ where the ladies take on the men for bragging rights in households across the county.

Spalding duo Will Longford and Ricky Ivatt will compete in the Micro Bangers, while the Battle of the Sexes event will be something of a family affair for Spalding-based Suzie Lambe alongside mother Bridgett Woolley in the ladies’ team, going up against father Paul Lambe on the men’s side.

Sutton St James-based Simon Venni returns to action in the Two-Litre Saloon Stock Cars having missed out in last weekend’s Suffolk-staged English Championship,
despite qualifying on the front row of the grid for the big race. Jamie Clayton (Moulton) and Tom Yould (Spalding) will also be on track.

Spalding youngster Lewis Ivatt will hope to qualify for the Junior Bangers English Championship via the last-chance race.

Last weekend’s racing at the track was rated as some of the best stock car action the Saddlebow Road venue has ever witnessed when Lancastrian Stuart Smith Jr claimed the BriSCA Formula One Stock Car final after Donington’s Mark Sargent had raced to second place in the consolation race.

Sutton St James racer Carl Issitt roared to victory in the BriSCA Formula Two Stock Car final.
