Long Sutton were in four-some form when hammering City of Peterborough 3rd in the East Men’s League Premier B on Saturday.

They stormed to a 4-0 win with Josh Fyson’s first-half double sending them on their way to victory.

Chance after chance went begging after the break until a superb short corner routine allowed Dan Batten to deflect sublimely into the goal.

The same player netted five minutes from full-time to seal an impressive victory for Sutton.

Sutton 3rd went even better when beating Cambridge South 5-0 in Division Five North West.

Adam Sisson opened the scoring and Will White’s doubled made it 3-0 at half-time.

Harry Synott added Sutton’s fourth before White completed his hat-trick.

Long Sutton 4th edged a seven-goal thriller with Grantham in Division Six North West (North) with the prolific James Baker breaking the deadlock.

Gary Hales, who created the opener, scored the second with Luke Proctor and Ian White grabbing the other Sutton goals.

Long Sutton Ladies dominated large phases of their East Women’s League Division Two North West match with City of Peterborough 2nd but had to settle for a 1-0 win thanks to Becky Kierman’s goal.
