Spalding’s Emily Moss has brought back a silver medal from the European Aquathlon Championships.

She won the 25-29 age group at the British Championships earlier this month to qualify for last weekend’s event at Châteauroux, France.

Moss was runner-up in her category after 1k swimming straight into 5k running.

She said: “I really enjoyed the swimming, I felt good and I was much higher up than expected.

“I felt strong running right through to the end, so I just concentrated on picking people off.

“Although I have been running at a high level for many years, I’m still really new to aquathlon and all of the rules, so I was really pleased with silver.

It was a real honour to represent Great Britain, so a big thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way so far!
