American V8-powered BriSCA Formula One Stock Cars are racing at King’s Lynn’s Adrian Flux Arena for the first time this year on Saturday (6pm).

They form part of a stock car spectacular alongside BriSCA Formula Two Stock Cars and Ministox, three national formulas featuring the country’s leading drivers.

Donington’s Mark Sargent will be piloting his Formula One stock car, having already tasted success on the Saddlebow Road shale earlier this season in Formula Two.

A repeat of his heat-and-final double on that occasion may be a challenge but the self-styled ‘East Coast Legend’ proved he is more than capable with a double success at the track in the bigger cars last September.

The F2 entry includes Sutton St James veteran Carl Issitt and Low Fulney-based Justin Parker who managed a third-place finish in his heat at King’s Lynn’s last meeting.

The programme is completed by Ministox. Among the entry is Sargent’s 13-year-old son Finn.
