New Saracen’s Head showed just why they are the top team as they blitzed the Spalding and District Ladies League finals night.
Fenway A were the unfortunate team to come up against them twice, firstly losing the Division One Cup 10-5, with Dawn MacTavish and Shirley Povey both winning 3-0 for the champs.
The Challenge Trophy was next and the result was the same, this time Lindsey Wignell partnering MacTavish as they both won 3-0.
MacTavish and Wingell then won the doubles final 2-0 over Horse and Groom’s Julie Fines and Linda Middleton.
Mikki Bennetto of Lincoln Arms then beat Dawn Wright of Drayman’s Arms B 2-0 to claim the singles title, Wright missing her doubles in both legs.
Drayman’s B also had a player in the Captains’ Trophy, Sharon Boldy beating Julie Fines of Horse and Groom A.
Lincoln Arms won the Division Two Cup in a tight affair against Punchbowl, Eva Spinks beating Jenny Coupland in the final game to clinch the 9-6 victory.
The 180 scores for the season were: Tina Gent, Dawn Wright, Casey Horspool, Helen Buffham and Julie Fines.
