ANTON Liscey got his hands on Holbeach and District Darts League’s Wally Seaton Memorial trophy after an impressive showing at Tigers Social Club.
In what always proves a popular event, Liscey saw off regular contenders Mark Horspool and Gary Mace en route to clinching the singles title and £175 top prize.
Having beaten Shaun Shailes 3-2 in the last eight, Horspool then then defeated by the same score in the semis.
Mace beat Dave Seaton – who managed a trio of 180s – 3-0 in his last-four clash, but went down 3-1 to Liscey in the final, despite managing two maximums of his own.
In the ladies’ version, Casey Horspool beat Linda Merrison 2-1 in the final to bank £40.
The event raised an impressive £448 for charity.
• CLAIRE Ball has won the Spalding and District Darts’ League Open.
The England women’s international beat Simon Hill in a keenly-contested final, banking the £50 first prize in the process.
Losing finalist Hill consoled himself with a cool £25 for reaching the final.
Ball also defeated Kelvin Crane in the semi-final, while Paul Ford was the other to fall in the last four.
Both beaten semi-finalists trousered £10 each for their troubles.
League chairman Ian Tilley presented all of the prizes.
