Aimee Stocker has added yet another Spalding Cycling Club record to her already impressive list.
She set an all-time personal best (PB) and club ladies’ ten-mile time trial record of 23.24mins at Hull last Saturday.
The multi-talented Stocker also holds the ladies’ 50-mile time trial record (2.26.29hrs) and the ladies’ 25-mile time trial record (1.04.08hrs) – making her one of the most decorated riders at the club.
She was also the first lady home at the 11th round of Spalding’s ten-mile time trial league last week. Stocker clocked 26.30mins to finish eighth overall.
There were no surprises at the front of the field as Neil Palmer and Chris Ward, who as usual took first and second places again in 22.57mins and 23.27mins respectively.
Adam Ellis completing the top three in 24.00mins, while Chris Bettinson recorded the only PB of the night with 30.49mins.
Sam Bentley, after a hard day of racing at the Grass Track Event last Saturday, continued his good form to produce a time of 26.06mins. He was the sole rider in the under-18s competition.
In the under-16s section, Tilly Gurney topped the list in 31.03mins. She just miss out on matching her PB by eight seconds.
William Gurney took second with 32.27mins.
Guest Ryan Hart, who chased Chris Ward home hard, set the third fastest time overall in time of 23.29mins.
Spalding also welcomed Bourne Wheelers duo Adam Bottely (24.54mins) and D Burton (29.25mins), while William Boothman finished in a very good time of 37.03mins.
• Spalding’s Stewart Elderkin recently rode in round of the Mud Sweat and Gears MTB series at Hinchingbrooke Park, in Huntingdon.
Riding in a field of 139, he achieved a fine 39th place in 1.38.42, but was some five laps down on the winner.
