Mathew Orrey and Graham Smith picked up points but England lost to Wales in the Co-op Funeralcare mixed test match.

The Spalding pair linked up with Julie Leake to win the triples.

Orrey and Michelle Barlow had a pairs victory but Smith and Leake lost.

Smith won his singles match and Orrey was beaten as Wales made it 7-4 overall.

The match was televised live on ITV4 from Bristol last Thursday and Friday.

Meanwhile, Spalding’s Annie Dunham has been named in the England team for the ladies test match against Scotland at New Earswick on Thursday and Friday.
