EBA Section Four (Spalding area): CONSTI earned their first Group A win in four weeks, beating Moulton Harrox A by four shots.

The Spalding side’s second success of the season yielded nine points.

It was tight on all three rinks, one ending all square at 14-14 and narrow wins on the other two for the sets of P Walton, A Sculthorpe, B Bowman and B McGowan, and B Borst, J Maddison, R Quinton and S Buffrey.

The result lifted Consti off the foot of the table.

Ayscoughfee took over at the top with a 8-2 win at Carter’s Park. The Holbeach side’s points came from the set of P Salter, L Allen, D Burgess and A Dunham.

Donington grabbed their fourth 8-2 win of the season, but it was by only three shots against Royal Mail Cart A.

Bourne Town had their Group B lead cut to just a single point.

They took seven points home from the trip to Spalding Town, while second-placed Deepings were going one better.

They won 8-2 at bottom side Royal Mail Cart B.

D Thomas, D Exton, A Browne and T Bowden earned a welcome two points for the Spalding side.

In Triples Group B, Bourne Town moved eight points clear at the top. They won by 16 shots at third-placed Royal Mail Cart.

Second-placed Castle A lost ground on the leaders when they lost 47-40 at Holbeach USC, taking only two points.
