CONSTI C and Holbeach B continue to impress in the early rounds of the Spalding and District Billiards League season – but Long Sutton have also made a sizzling start.
Unbeaten Consti and Holbeach are locked together on 15 points after both stretched their winning runs to three games with 5-2 successes, while league newboys Sutton made it two triumphs from two.
Holbeach A were Consti’s third scalp of the season, despite the best efforts of Hugh Pinner (O170). The veteran made eight sizeable breaks, including a best of 44, as he won his frame.
Holbeach B had too much for Consti D as Chris Chamberlain (R80) made a 28 break, while Sutton edged out Gosberton 4.5-2.5. Adam Barwell (R10) top scored with a 29 break.
Elsewhere, Martin O’Connor (R10) trousered a 43 break as Pyramid B beat Consti B 5-2.
Steve Spencer (R100) pocketed a fine 32 for Consti.
