CONSTI A and Pyramid A enjoyed weeks to remember as they handed the top two in Spalding and District Billiards League 7-0 whitewashes.
Runway leaders Pyramid B were on the receiving end of Consti’s stellar showing, as the Bourne side slipped to a fourth defeat in five games.
Robert Adams (R30) top scored with a 29 break, while team-mates Lindsay Porter (R40) and Peter Tingle (R100) also did the business.
The victory moves Consti up to second – still 23 points off the pace – after club rivals Consti B were battered by on-song Pyramid A.
Although Steve Spencer (R100), Mick Johnson (O160) and John Keeton (R30) made breaks of 20, 35 and 23 respectively, they all suffered frame losses.
Elsewhere, Hugh Pinner’s 54 break was the best anywhere. The Holbeach C ace (O170) also pocketed two scores of 36 and saw team-mate Alan Yardley (scr) trouser a fine 44 – but they still lost 5-2 against BSC, whose John Bellerby (R80) made 28.
At the foot, basement boys Gosberton won for the first time since November. Malc Dennis (R110) and Tim Dennis (R110) won to see off Crowland A 5-2.
