Long Sutton gave themselves a bit of breathing space at the top of the Spalding and District Billiards League table with a 5-2 triumph over Donington.

The leaders are now 12 clear of the rest thanks to wins from Sean Swinburn (O20) and Mick Cooper (O40), who pocketed breaks of 39 and 40 respectively en-route to frame successes.

Third-placed Holbeach C were 5-2 winners at Pyramid A, with a 20 clearance from Terry Shaw (R70) the highlight.

A super 70 break from Mick Johnson (O160) steered Consti B to a 5-2 triumph against Holbeach A, while a 33 from Ashley Bunn (R60) helped Holbeach B see off Consti A 5-2.

Basement boys Gosberton also won, with David Haresign (R110) grabbing the final frame to edge out Pyramid B 4-3.
